These days, when I feel like learning something new I most of the time simply browse the song lessons. Guitar Tricks has songs form famous bands from almost every era of modern music. The videos have an A/B - start/stop feature so that parts of the video can be looped. In addition, the videos show several angles of the instructor playing the guitar and there is also the music in standard and tablature notation. 

Finally, you can play along with the entire band playing the song or you can play with the backing track of the song. Absolutely the best way to practice and to make sure that you can really play what you have learnt.
